Diversify with Alternative Investments

Registration for the Event

Last month I attended Michael Campbell's "World Outlook Conference", and the experts agreed that 2018 is likely to be a choppy, volatile year for the stock market.  One way to diversify is to add alternative investments that aren't traded on the stock market to your portfolio.

Non-traditional investments, like real estate, infrastructure and private equity, have long been touted for their diversification benefits and returns that aren't correlated to stocks and bonds.  Unfortunately, these asset classes are usually expensive and often limited to high-net-worth investors.  Not many people have millions of dollars available to buy an apartment building.  Thankfully, the exempt market has made these opportunities available for the rest of us.

Join us on Wednesday, March 14th, for a special dinner presentation.  As usual, we will start the evening with an educational portion and will end with a guest speaker from the industry featuring a new investment opportunity.

At the seminar you will learn:

  • Why institutional investors, including Pension Funds, have used private investments to diversify and boost returns*
  • How you can build your own diversified portfolio
  • The pros & cons of private investments
  • How to participate with lower investment minimums and use your RRSP and TFSA

If you're already a big fan of private investments, this is a great introduction for your friends and family who are looking for alternatives for their portfolio.

Our guest speaker is Laine Nevison from Mavan Capital.  Accredited investors might remember him from last year's Introhive presentation.  I'm always disappointed when great opportunities are only available to high net worth clients.

So it gives me great pleasure to announce that Introhive will be available for eligible investors too.
